Are all Products on WeShopAfrica made in Africa?
WeShopAfrica focuses on promoting Products made, produced, manufactured, grown, designed, assembled or materially transformed in Africa.
Sellers are required to state the Product's origin accurately. Some Products may contain imported components or materials, and this should be disclosed where relevant.
Does WeShopAfrica sell the Products directly?
Most Products are offered by independent Sellers.
Unless WeShopAfrica is expressly identified as the Seller, the sales contract is generally between the Buyer and the Seller. WeShopAfrica provides the marketplace and may support payments, inspections, delivery, claims and other transaction services.
Which countries does WeShopAfrica serve?
WeShopAfrica may support domestic and international transactions.
Available Products, payment methods, currencies, delivery providers and services depend on the Buyer's and Seller's countries.

You may browse Products without an account, but an account is generally required to:

How do I create a Buyer Account?
Select Create Account or Register, then provide the required information, which may include:
- your name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- password;
- country;
- delivery information.
You may be required to verify your email address or telephone number.
How old must I be to use WeShopAfrica?
You must generally be at least eighteen years old and legally able to enter into a contract to operate an independent account.
A person below eighteen should use the Platform only with the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian, subject to applicable law.
Can I create more than one account?
You should not create multiple accounts to:
- avoid account restrictions;
- obtain duplicate promotions;
- manipulate reviews;
- conceal fraudulent activity;
- bypass transaction limits.
Separate legitimate business accounts may be approved where appropriate.
How do I reset my password?

You can search by:

How do I know whether a Product is available?
The Product page should display the current stock or availability information.
Some Products are:
- in stock;
- made to order;
- available for preorder;
- available only in wholesale quantities;
- subject to Seller confirmation.
Why do Product prices sometimes change?
Prices may change because of:
- Seller updates;
- promotions;
- currency movements;
- Product variations;
- quantity;
- wholesale pricing;
- taxes;
- delivery charges;
- customization.
The final Order summary should show the amount payable before confirmation.
Are the Product images exact?
Sellers are required to use images that accurately represent the Product.
Small differences may occur because of lighting, screen settings, handmade production or natural materials. Material differences from the Listing may qualify for a return, replacement or refund.
How do I verify Product size or measurements?
Check the Product description and size information carefully.
For clothing, footwear, furniture, packaging and custom Products, review the Seller's measurement guide before ordering.
Contact the Seller through the Platform if additional clarification is required.
Are regulated Products verified?
Sellers of regulated Products may be required to provide relevant licences, product registrations or certifications.
However, Buyers should also review Product labels, warnings and applicable regulatory information before purchase.
How can I report a suspicious Product or Listing?
Use the Report Product, Report Seller or Help and Support function.
You may report:
- counterfeit Products;
- prohibited Products;
- unsafe Products;
- false origin claims;
- misleading descriptions;
- intellectual-property infringement;
- fraudulent pricing;
- inappropriate content.

When is my Order confirmed?
An Order may be confirmed after:
- payment authorization;

An Order acknowledgment does not always mean that final acceptance has occurred.
Why is my Order still pending?
An Order may remain pending because:
- payment is being verified;
- the Seller has not accepted it;
- stock confirmation is required;
- a bank transfer has not been matched;
- identity verification is required;
- fraud or compliance review is in progress;
- inspection arrangements are pending.
Can I change an Order after placing it?
You may request a change before fulfilment begins.
Changes may not be possible where:
- the Seller has started production;
- the Product has shipped;
- the Product is customized;
- the price or delivery cost would change;
- the Seller cannot accommodate the change.
Where a material change is required, cancellation and a new Order may be necessary.
Can I cancel an Order?
A cancellation may be available before shipment or before irreversible production begins.
Cancellation depends on:
- Product type;
- Order status;
- Seller acceptance;
- customization;
- wholesale commitments;
- production stage;
- applicable policy.
Use the Order page to request cancellation.
Why was my Order cancelled?
An Order may be cancelled because:
- payment failed;
- the Product is unavailable;
- the Seller cannot fulfil it;

- verification was not completed;
- the Product is restricted;
- fraud or compliance concerns arose;
- the Buyer requested cancellation;
- delivery is not available.

Yes. WeShopAfrica supports wholesale and bulk purchasing from eligible Sellers.
Wholesale Orders may include negotiated:

- payment milestones.
How do I know the minimum wholesale quantity?
The minimum order quantity may be displayed on the Product page or included in the Seller's Quotation.
Where it is not displayed, contact the Seller or submit an RFQ.
Are wholesale prices negotiable?
Some wholesale prices are fixed, while others may be negotiable based on:
- quantity;
- specifications;
- packaging;
- delivery location;
- production time;
- payment terms.
Can I request a sample before placing a wholesale Order?
A Seller may offer samples.
The Buyer may be responsible for:
- sample cost;
- shipping;
- inspection;
- customs duties.
The sample terms should be confirmed before payment.
How long do wholesale Orders take?
Wholesale production and delivery times vary based on:
- quantity;
- Product complexity;
- available stock;
- customization;
- inspection;
- destination;
- shipping method.
The agreed timeline should be recorded in the accepted Quotation or Order.
Can wholesale Orders be cancelled?
Cancellation depends on the agreed terms and production status.
Where the Seller has already incurred approved production, material or customization costs, those costs may be non-refundable where permitted.
Can wholesale Orders be returned?
Wholesale returns are assessed using:
- the accepted specifications;
- sample approval;
- inspection records;
- quantity;
- defects;
- delivery condition;
- the wholesale agreement.
A defect affecting some units may result in replacement or refund of those units rather than return of the entire Order.

A Request for Quotation, or RFQ, allows a Buyer to request commercial offers from eligible Sellers for Products, wholesale quantities, custom manufacturing or sourcing needs.
How do I submit an RFQ?
Provide information such as:
- Product required;

- quantity;
- preferred price range;
- delivery country;
- required delivery date;
- packaging;
- inspection needs;
- supporting files or images.
Does submitting an RFQ create an Order?
No. An RFQ is ordinarily a request for Sellers to submit offers.
An Order is created only after:
- a Quotation is accepted;
- required terms are confirmed;
- payment or another required condition is completed.
What should a Seller's Quotation contain?
A Quotation should identify:
- Product;
- specifications;
- quantity;
- unit and total price;
- currency;
- minimum order quantity;
- production period;
- delivery terms;
- inspection terms;
- taxes and exclusions;
- validity period.
Can I negotiate a Quotation?
Yes, where negotiation is available.
All material changes should be recorded through the Platform before the Quotation is accepted.
How long is a Quotation valid?
The Seller should state the validity period.
A Quotation may expire if it is not accepted within that period.
Can I pay a Seller directly after receiving a Quotation?
You should complete the transaction through WeShopAfrica's approved payment process.
Off-platform payments may not qualify for:
- payment protection;
- escrow;
- inspection support;
- refunds;

Available payment methods may include:

Does WeShopAfrica store my full card information?
Full payment-card information is ordinarily processed by an approved payment provider.
WeShopAfrica may receive tokenized or masked payment details and the transaction result but should not store full readable card credentials.
Why was my payment declined?
A payment may be declined because of:
- insufficient funds;
- incorrect details;
- card restrictions;
- failed authentication;
- provider limits;
- unsupported currency;
- suspected fraud;
- bank or mobile-money restrictions.
Contact your payment provider if the reason is not displayed.
Why was I charged but my Order is not confirmed?
Your financial provider may temporarily reserve or debit funds before WeShopAfrica receives final confirmation.
The Order may remain pending while the payment is:
- verified;
- matched;
- reviewed;
- confirmed by the provider.
Do not make another payment unless instructed, as this could create a duplicate transaction.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Bank transfer may be available for eligible Orders.
Use only the bank details displayed by WeShopAfrica and include the correct payment reference.
The Order will generally remain pending until the funds are received and matched.
Is a bank-transfer receipt enough to confirm payment?
No. A screenshot, transfer receipt or debit alert does not by itself prove that cleared funds have been received.
Payment is confirmed after verification through the relevant banking or payment system.
Can I split payment across different methods?
Split payments may be supported for selected transactions.
Only payment methods displayed and approved for the Order should be used.
Are payment fees refundable?
Payment-processing or transaction fees may be refundable where required by law or where the refund results from Seller or Platform fault.
Fees may be non-refundable where they were properly incurred and the cancellation was caused by the Buyer, subject to the applicable policy.
Payment protection and escrow

Payment protection is a transaction arrangement under which funds may be held or controlled until the applicable release conditions are satisfied.

Does every Order use escrow?
No. Escrow or payment protection availability may depend on:

When are funds released to the Seller?
Funds may be released after:
- delivery is confirmed;

Can funds remain on hold after delivery?

What is Seller handling time?
Handling time is the period the Seller requires to prepare the Product for pickup or shipment.
Retail Orders may often be prepared within forty-eight hours, but a longer period may apply to:
- custom Products;
- wholesale Orders;
- made-to-order Products;
- inspected Products;
- regulated Products.
How are delivery fees calculated?
Delivery fees may be based on:
- actual weight;
- volumetric weight;
- package dimensions;
- distance;
- destination;
- delivery speed;
- Product category;
- special handling;
- customs and international charges.
What is volumetric weight?
Volumetric weight is a shipping calculation based on the amount of space a package occupies rather than only its actual weight.
The carrier may charge using the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight.
Why did my delivery fee change?
The fee may change if:
- the Seller entered an incorrect weight;
- the packaged dimensions differ;
- the address changes;
- the delivery method changes;
- customs or special handling applies;
- multiple Sellers ship separately.
Any material adjustment should be explained before additional payment is requested.
How do I track my Order?
Go to My Account, then My Orders, select the Order and choose Track Order.
Tracking may also be sent by:

Why is my tracking information not updating?
Tracking may take time to update after pickup.
Temporary delays may occur because of:
- carrier scanning;
- transfer between facilities;
- customs;

Can I change my delivery address after ordering?
You may request an address change before shipment.

What happens if I provide the wrong address?

Can WeShopAfrica estimate customs charges?
WeShopAfrica may provide an estimate, but the final amount is determined by the destination authority or provider.
What happens if I refuse to pay customs charges?
The shipment may be:
- held;
- returned;
- abandoned;
- subject to storage fees;
- subject to additional charges.
Your refund may be reduced by valid shipping, return, customs and storage costs.
What if the Seller provides incorrect customs information?
Where the Seller's inaccurate declaration causes loss, delay or additional cost, the Seller may be responsible under the applicable policy.
Are all Products eligible for international shipping?
No. Some Products cannot be shipped internationally because of:
- legal restrictions;
- carrier restrictions;
- hazardous-material rules;
- food or agricultural controls;
- destination-country requirements;

An inspection is an examination of Products, packaging, quantities, documents or specifications.
It may be conducted before:

Which Orders require inspection?
Inspection may be:
- optional;
- requested by the Buyer;
- required for wholesale Orders;
- required for high-value Orders;
- required by WeShopAfrica;
- required by a payment or logistics arrangement.
What does an inspection check?
The inspection scope may include:
- quantity;
- visible condition;
- Product dimensions;
- packaging;
- specification conformity;
- sample matching;
- documentation;
- agreed quality points.
Does passing inspection guarantee the Product has no defects?
No. An inspection is limited to its stated scope.
It may not identify:
- hidden defects;

- every regulatory issue;
- laboratory quality;
- damage occurring after inspection.
Who pays for inspection?
The applicable Order or Quotation should identify who pays.
A Seller may be responsible for reinspection where the first inspection failed because of Seller fault.
What happens if a Product fails inspection?
WeShopAfrica may:
- require correction;
- arrange reinspection;
- delay shipment;
- cancel the Order;
- approve replacement;
- approve a refund;
- continue a claim review.
Can I see the inspection report?
The Buyer and Seller may receive access to the report or relevant findings, subject to privacy, security and commercial restrictions.
Returns

When can I return a Product?
An eligible Product may be returned where it:
- arrived damaged;
- is defective;
- is the wrong Product;
- has missing parts;
- is materially not as described;
- is counterfeit;
- is expired or unsafe;
- otherwise qualifies under the Returns Policy or applicable law.
How long do I have to request a return?
Unless another period applies, an eligible return should generally be initiated within five calendar days after confirmed delivery.
A longer period may apply for:
- hidden defects;
- warranties;
- applicable consumer law;
- specific Product policies.
How do I request a return?
Go to My Account, then My Orders, select the Order and choose Request Return.
Select the reason, describe the problem and upload relevant evidence.
You may also contact Support if the return tool is unavailable.
Should I contact the Seller first?
Where practical, contact the Seller through the Platform.
If the Seller does not resolve the issue, you may escalate the case to WeShopAfrica.
How long does the Seller have to respond?
Unless another period applies, the Seller should respond within five Business Days.
Failure to respond may result in WeShopAfrica reviewing the matter using the available evidence.
Do I need an unboxing video?
An unboxing video is recommended, especially for high-value, fragile, wholesale or international Products.
However, failure to provide a video does not automatically disqualify a genuine claim.
Do I need to keep the original packaging?
You should keep the following until the Return Window expires:
- the carton;
- Product packaging;
- tags;
- seals;
- accessories;
- shipping label;
- protective materials.
Can I return a Product because I changed my mind?
A change-of-mind return may be available for eligible categories where the Product is:
- unused;
- unopened where required;
- complete;
- in resalable condition;
- returned within the applicable period.
The Buyer will ordinarily pay return shipping for a change-of-mind return.
Who pays return shipping?
The Seller may be responsible where the Product is:
- defective;
- damaged because of Seller packaging;
- incorrect;
- counterfeit;
- materially not as described.
The Buyer may be responsible where:
- the Buyer changed their mind;
- selected the wrong option;
- provided an incorrect address;
- caused the damage;
- refused delivery without valid reason.
Can I return a custom-made Product?
Custom Products are not ordinarily returnable because of a change of mind.
They may qualify where they:
- do not match the approved specifications;
- are defective;
- are damaged;
- use the wrong materials;
- are otherwise non-conforming.
Which Products cannot be returned?
Subject to defect and legal rights, change-of-mind returns may be unavailable for:
- personalized Products;
- perishables;
- opened food;
- opened cosmetics;
- hygiene-sensitive goods;
- underwear;
- completed services;
- used digital Products;
- final-sale Products;
- Products restricted by health or law.
What happens after I send the Product back?
The return may be:

Refunds

- an Order is validly cancelled;
- the Seller fails to fulfil;
- the Product is not delivered;

- another valid basis applies.
How will I receive my refund?
Refunds are ordinarily returned to the original approved payment method.
This may include:
- debit or credit card;
- mobile money;
- bank payment;
- approved online transfer;
- account balance where permitted.
How long does a refund take?
Once the refund is finally approved and all return or verification requirements are complete, WeShopAfrica will ordinarily initiate it within ten Business Days.
Your bank, card network or mobile-money provider may require additional time to credit your account.
Will delivery fees be refunded?
Delivery fees may be refunded where:
- the Seller failed to fulfil;
- the wrong Product was sent;
- the Product was defective;
- the Order was not delivered;
- another Seller-responsible reason applies.
Delivery charges may not be refunded for a Buyer change-of-mind return.
Can I receive a partial refund?
Yes. A partial refund may be offered where:
- the Buyer keeps the Product;
- the issue is minor;
- part of the Order is missing;
- the Product's value is lower than represented;
- the parties agree to a price reduction.
Can I receive a refund without returning the Product?
This may be approved where:
- the Product is low value;
- return shipping is disproportionate;
